Hi ! Welcome
I am an ecologist. I have primarily researched in the field of animal behaviour. My research interests lie in understanding the processes that affect the structure and dynamics of ecological communities.
A significant amount of my research career has focused on understanding how the perceived risk of predation affects behavioural and life-history decisions of organisms. More recently I have been studying how predators, competitors and host dynamics affect the ecology of insect vectors. I use different tools and methods to study these, and these range from "simple" observations of free ranging organisms, experimental manipulations (both in field and lab, if possible), to mixed method approaches.
My research has mostly been question driven, which has given me an opportunity to work with several fascinating organisms in fantastic landscapes around the world.
I am a faculty member in the School of Arts and Sciences, at Ahmedabad University (Ahmedabad city, Gujarat, India)
Please feel free to look at the other pages to gain a better understanding of my research interests and background.
If you would like to contact me feel free to email me ([email protected]). Other contact details are on my contact page. Thanks!
